I’m a Holistic Health Coach, healthy foodie, wellness enthusiast, and fitness lover dedicated to helping you find YOUR version of wellness so you can live your healthiest life.

I personally understand what it’s like to go through emotional eating and body struggles, and just not knowing where to start. Making healthy choices used to be something that seemed so overwhelming to me. It was something I had to remind myself to do each day. But now, it’s something that comes naturally.

I dedicate my time to helping women worldwide ditch the diet mentality for good, make peace with food and love their healthy bodies. I believe with the right tools and guidance, I can help you bring your body back into balance and find a way to live in harmony with your body.

Let’s go back to October 2015…

As I was looking through some photos of my fiancé (now husband) and I, and for the first time I noticed that I had gained a lot of weight. I maintained a certain weight my entire adult life, so my jaw dropped at the number I saw on the scale. I had no idea how I had gotten there. From that moment forward, I made a commitment that I would lose weight by the time my wedding came in August 2016. 

Growing up I used to eat cereal and ice cream for breakfast and drank Pepsi on the regular. I thought those 100-calorie Oreo packs were healthy snacks. I didn’t drink plain water until I was 21 years old, and I wouldn’t touch a vegetable until I met my husband.

I didn’t have any knowledge about proper nutrition, and it never occurred to me to question whether I even liked these foods, much less what the longer term damage they could be causing to my health.

I battled a number of health issues that may have been linked to my previous diet and what I used to think was “healthy” — leaky gut, food intolerance’s, thyroid problems, unbalanced hormones, Hashimoto’s, acne, depression, anxiety, hypoglycemia and infertility, to name a few.

When I felt like the modern medical system had failed me, I decided to take control of my health and became my own healer

As I was making these changes…

I naturally I started losing weight; 5 pounds here, another 10 pounds there, and before I knew it, I had lost over 100 pounds in one year, and suddenly got a lot of attention from people who were constantly commenting on how good I looked and honestly, it felt really good.

However, those remarks from friends saying “you look so good, tell me your secrets!” triggered a whole slew of unhealthy choices that included replacing my balanced lunch with chocolate protein shakes.

I thought if I just got even more healthy, aka THINNER, then I would be worthy of love + belonging

It was a very lonely and exhausting experience.

Looking back now, I can see that I was on the edge of excessive exercise and food restriction. I was also incredibly conflicted about my diet and fitness choices. I wanted to have a six pack, but because of my long-term restricting and dieting, I wanted to binge eat on any dessert that was put in front of me. I wanted to learn how to have a balanced diet and lifestyle that matched my desire to look healthy.

And that's when I decided to get my Health Coaching Certification

As time went on,

I began to realize that nutrition advice alone was not resolving the insecurities that I was feeling about myself. I finally saw that pursuing weight loss and the perfect body wasn’t making anyone happy, including me.

I came to the conclusion that I was using way too much headspace worrying about how much I weighed, how I looked and how everyone perceived me. So I decided it was time for a change. Not only would I embrace a perfectly imperfect self, but I would also help others do the same.

Today, I don’t worry about calories. I make healthy choices as often as I can, and I eat what my body is craving. If I want a treat, I have a treat. I do not deprive myself and I don’t talk down to myself.

Listen Girlfrind... I know that there is something inside of you that is far bigger than your health issues or your diet + exercise obsession.

I know that you want to access that part of you.

The part of you that wants to find your purpose; to have a healing relationship with food and a healthy lifestyle that fills you up with freedom, ease and joy; or to do incredible work that makes a difference in the world.
